As of March 2026, the project has reached the "loading stage," meaning it can successfully boot to the Rockstar San Diego logo but does not yet progress into gameplay.
The lead developer (mz) is utilizing Rexglue and Xenia components for the runtime. The goal is to eventually transition to a standalone version that does not rely on an emulator for rendering.
