The film is carried almost entirely by Azzou’s charisma. His facial expressions, his particular way of walking (often with a spring in his step), and his unique delivery of lines made the character of Mucucu iconic. He represents the "anti-hero"—someone we know is doing wrong, but who we root for because he is also fighting against poverty and social stagnation.
