Don’t let the name fool you. Kangan (Bangle) starts as a typical saas-bahu story but quickly descends into a thriller about marital gaslighting and revenge. The strength here is the writing—every bangle jingle feels like a ticking time bomb. The female protagonist’s transition from submissive to mastermind is slow, painful, and deeply satisfying.

The story follows the titular character, Bijali, and her interactions with Pintu. After earlier events involving another character, Rukmani, Pintu finally manages to get closer to Bijali. However, the narrative takes a sharp turn as Pintu reveals himself to be a calculating and dominant figure.
